My wife recently suffered two brain hemorrhages and underwent two emergency surgeries. Right now, a part of her skull has been temporarily removed — her brain remains unprotected until the next surgery, during which the bone will be returned to its place.

Because of her serious condition, she is completely dependent on me. The entire left side of her body is almost nonfunctional, and she requires constant care and supervision. I can’t leave her for even a minute — and because of that, I’ve had to stop working entirely.

Over the past two months, we have used up all of our savings. Bills are piling up. We’re doing our best to hold on, but we’ve reached a breaking point.

Yesterday she had surgery, they put the bone back into her skull. The surgery went well, they put the bone back but not all of it, they broke part of the bone. They were supposed to put in a mesh or a plate, but for some reason there was a hole and a depression left. I will talk to the surgeon about this. Overall, she feels good now.

Today they took the bandage off her head. Today she was supposed to be discharged, but a nurse came and said that on the last brain scan they found a small hemorrhage in the brain. Today at 6 o'clock in the evening they will do another brain scan, and if everything is stable and the hemorrhage does not progress, then she will be discharged.
