Hello, we are Rodolfo Caires and Alysson Vitali, independent volunteers here in Ukraine. We have been here since the beginning of the war, buying supplies and medicines in Poland and delivering them in Ukraine. On the way back, we transport refugees in our own cars to Poland, where they are left in a Humanitarian Centre that shelters them and cater for all their needs.
Ever since the war started, we have met with several other anonymous and independent volunteers, who have been doing the same work as we do.
We have been helping each other in our trips to Ukraine, and together, we have saved more than 60 refugees and delivered more than 10 tons of supplies.
Our goal here is simple in theory: to deliver supplies and to rescue and transport people out of Ukraine and aid them in this relocating process.
However, in practical terms, we are working in a warzone and there are risks and threats that we must circumvent during our rescue missions. Many bridges have been destroyed and sometimes we have to make long detours to reach out to people in need.
Our work here has been featured in multiple media outlets and it has been proved that what we do here is meaningful and of a paramount importance to Ukrainians.
There’s a high cost involved in our operations and we are currently spending over €2,500 per week from our own savings. The costs cover the rental of 2 cars, fuel (we use a tank full everyday), accommodation and refugee aid.
We are here pledging your assistance to allow us to keep providing our humanitarian aid to all those in need of assistance right now.
