Hi, my name is Ana Vega. I come here to ask for your help for my sister Mayra and her family. I have set the goal to $1since anything is greatly appreciated. This is to help my sister in this difficult time. She has been told this is going to be a long recovery.

What started out as an anticipated back to school shopping ended in all five family members hospitalized. They were in a one car accident which rolled over a couple times. My sister and her 12, 8, and 2 year old were taken to the hospital via ambulance. While my 19 year old niece was airlifted.

Yolanda (19) is in the ICU where she is going to have a long and painful recovery. She will need some skin grafts for the injuries she sustained to her back and thighs, and long-term physical therapy. We still don't know when she will be out of icu. Her two-year-old has a broken femur and has to be carried. Sam (12) had a punctured spleen, broken rib, fractured wrist and a deep cut above her right eye. Lucas (8) only suffered minor injuries. While her 16 year old was thankfully at a friend's house that day. My sister has a 10 cm cut on her head, a cervical fracture, and a fracture on her sternum. She is widowed and had moved her family from California to Oklahoma to be closer to her siblings. She is currently unable to return to work until she recovers from her injuries and takes care of her children. The car was totaled. She is looking to buy a new car since she has to make a approximately a 2-hour drive to go see Yolanda at the hospital. I am grateful for all the support and prayers that she has received so far from friends and family. I now come here to ask for your generosity to help my sister Mayra in this long recovery journey for her daughter Yolanda and family.Thank you once again for taking time to read their story and for your help and kindness.

Hola, mi nombre es Ana Vega. Vengo aquí a pedirles ayuda para mi hermana Mayra y su familia. Me he fijado el objetivo en 1 dólar ya que cualquier cosa se agradece mucho. Esto es para ayudar a mi hermana en esta difícil situación.

Lo que comenzó como una anticipación de compras para el regreso a clases terminó con la hospitalización de los cinco miembros de la familia. Tuvieron un accidente automovilístico que volcó un par de veces.

Mi hermana y sus hijos de 12, 8 y 2 años fueron llevados al hospital en ambulancia. Mientras que mi sobrina de 19 años fue trasladada en elicoptero. Yolanda (19) se encuentra en la ICU donde tendrá una larga y dolorosa recuperación. Necesitará algunos injertos de piel para las lesiones que sufrió en la espalda y cadera y fisioterapia a largo plazo. Todavía no sabemos cuándo saldrá de la ICU. Su hija de dos años tiene el la piernita rota y hay que llevarla en brazos. Sam (12) tenía el bazo perforado, una costilla rota, una muñeca fracturada y un corte profundo sobre su ojo derecho. Lucas (8) sólo sufrió heridas leves. Mientras que su hijo de 16 años, afortunadamente, estaba en casa de un amigo ese día. Mi hermana tiene una cortada de 10 cm en la cabeza, una fractura cervical y una fractura en su esternón. Es madre soltera y el sustento de su casa. Por el momento no a podido regresar al trabajo puesto que tiene que manejar aproximadamente 2horas para ver a su hija y ala vez cuidar a sus otros hijos mientras se recupera de sus heridas.

Su coche quedó inoperable y tiene que comprar otro.Agradezco todo el apoyo y las oraciones que ha recibido hasta ahora de amigos y familiares. Ahora vengo aquí para pedirles su generosidad para ayudar a mi hermana Mayra en este largo viaje de recuperación que tendrá mi sobrina Yolanda.Gracias una vez más por tomarse el tiempo de leer su historia y por su ayuda.
