Help Rebuild Our Community in Whitehouse, Westmoreland-
Hi everyone — Sonderae and Kayla Simpson here! As many of you know, my husband was born and raised in Jamaica, and half of our family and friends still call it home. Jamaica holds a special place in our hearts — it’s not just a destination for us, it’s part of who we are. ❤️
We have created this GoFundMe to support our community in Whitehouse, Westmoreland, Jamaica, which has been devastated by Hurricane Melissa.
Thankfully, our own home sustained only minimal damage, but our entire community has been wiped out. Many of our friends, neighbors, and family members have lost everything — their homes, belongings, and livelihoods. It’s truly heartbreaking to see so many people who have worked so hard now left with nothing.
Our goal is to use every single cent from this fundraiser to help rebuild and provide relief to as many people in our community as possible. Right now, many are still without clean drinking water, food, or basic necessities.
How You Can Help:
No donation is too small — truly, anything helps.
We’re also accepting physical donations such as gently used clothing, bedding, and other essentials. If you’d like to contribute in that way, please message me directly for my address. We’re packing barrels (pictured) and will be sending as many as possible to Jamaica to help those in need.
We’ll continue to share updates and photos as donations reach our community, so you can see the impact your generosity is making.
Jamaica has always welcomed all visitors with open arms — now it’s our turn to give back. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any and all support. Please feel free to share the go fund me. We will be accepting donations until 11/21/2025 to schedule them for send off this weekend.
One Love, always.
