Help us help Sandie

Hello, my name is Emelie and I would like to introduce you to two amazing people, my mom, Sandie, and my brother, Robbie. In 2021, we lost my dad to COVID, leaving our family with a new way of life. Things have not always been easy, but we have managed to figure it out as a family. Like everyone, we have had some rough patches, but through faith and family, we've worked through it.

These past 6 months have been a little extra straining financially. You know the saying, 'when it rains it pours'? That has been our 2024. We have had one financial hit after another. First, mom’s van had to have body work done (took 3 weeks and $700), leaving Robbie without transportation. Hit #2 came when Robbie was not eating and it turned out he had an infection in his mouth. That has been cleared up but led to him needing some crucial dental work. Of course, the only dentist we can find that will work on him does not take Robbie’s insurance so it is all out of pocket (just over $3000). Next up, mom’s washer stopped working and we had to replace it ($400). The biggest hit got us today when mom’s air conditioner died right before this heatwave. It will be another $7000 to replace, we are looking for other options but are worried about the heat.

Ever since we lost my dad, people ask how they can help. We do not normally ask for help, but right now we could use a boost to get back above water.
