Hi everyone, my name is Stacey McKenzie, and I am proud Jamaican who has a deep love for both my beautiful and vibrant people and island. It's been disheartening to see what hurricane Melissa has done, destroying my island, people, their homes and food baskets. This devastating storm has left destruction across the island including my community, neighbours and family whom have lost their homes, livelihoods, and sense of safety. Families, including children and senior citizens are now displaced and in desperate need of shelter and essential supplies. I am doing all that I can to help the families of Jamaicans back on their feet. I started this GoFund Me to raise urgent relief funds to get and distribute supplies and I am in need of your support to help as much families as I can.

Right now I am working to deliver life-saving relief to those in crisis — especially senior citizens within my community and families who have lost everything. I am collecting and distributing for:

Basic hand tools (drills, shovels, hammers, axes, machetes) (as much as possible, has to be purchased in Jamaica)

How Funds Will Be Used

All donations will go directly to me which will be used to buy the items and along with my team will be distributed transparently and responsibly to support:

Immediate emergency relief (food, water, clothing, shelter)
