Help us heal heartbreak for Kristin and Steve
After a long, painful 13 year journey filled with fertility losses and disappointments, beloved dance choreographer and teacher, Kristin McQuaid, and her husband, Steve, finally had good news to share. They were expecting a baby girl via surrogate who was as committed to making them a mommy and daddy as they were. Together, they all prepared and planned for the arrival of miracle baby, London, and celebrated a healthy pregnancy. Then they unimaginable happened. On July 14th, at 39 weeks, London Quinn was, unexplainably, still born. Kristin and Steve's dreams were shattered once again and they were left to grieve the death of their child, undo all the planning that goes in to expecting a baby, and process the journey that made them an angel.
Inspired by their beautiful baby girl and filled with strength and resilience Kristin and Steve feel compelled to fight and continue their path to parenthood now in search of London Quinn's sibling. The reality of this story is the great financial burden that comes with it. No one should have to continually gamble away their living to become parents. My path to motherhood was also filled with loss and tremendous expense and while we know money does not heal, it can help.
March 29, 2008 Kristin and Steve married. Shortly after they were ready to become that Party of 3. During the first eleven years Kristin suffered three miscarriages and went through three separate surgeries for Stage 4 Endometriosis that eventually led to a Hysterectomy. Her most recent surrogacy journey was her second and the grand total of what she has already been through is $300,000.00. Even pursuing the early stages of adoption costs thousands of dollars.
Those of us who know Kristin and Steve and feel compelled to help in any way we can have decided that a financial gift to assist in the continuing and astronomical expenses of pursuing adoption and surrogacy is the least and only thing we can do.
We are sharing their story with you in hopes that you will join us in making even the smallest contribution to Kristin and Steve and rally around them with love and support. Kristin is a dedicated dance teacher and continually there for the children of every one else. We are thrilled to be there for hers.
With Love,
Sophie, Danielle and Pamela
