Hi my name is Najwa Harara and I'm the only sole breadwinner for my family who is currently suffering in GAZA. They were displaced from their house, which was bombed, and miraculously escaped death several times. My family consists of more than 30 people including elderly, children, teenagers, adults and IMAGINE, they all had to leave their houses in one day without packing any basic necessity. They left their houses without any plan, without knowing where to go and without having any safe place to turn to. They ended up staying at a bombed garage without mattresses to sleep on and without having a restroom to use when needed. They couldn't move to another place at that time because they were trapped amid the continuous bombing. They had to stay there for more than one month in the destruction and chaos. When they had a chance to leave that horrible place, they went back to their houses hoping that they can find a space that they can live in but unfortunately this was their houses situation.

My family are now living in a destroyed house in the south hiding from the bombings surrounding them. They are living fear of losing their loved one’s lives. They are feared of seeing their children die from starvation or from destruction. I even once was able to talk with them over the phone, and the first thing they told me was that they are very thankful of my dad’s death that happened right before the war, who was suffering from kidney failure and had to go every week to the hospital to do blood transfusion. I can’t imagine that my mom reached to the point that she is even happy that my dad has passed away, she is in a very desperate situation and need urgent help. My mom is an elderly woman, and her health situation is very bad. In the destroyed house that they are living in, she tried going to the bathroom but accidently fell over and broke her shoulder. My brothers had to take her to the urgent care but had to wait for more than 10 hours to see a doctor. Imagine the pain that my mom had to go through for 10 hours with a displaced shoulder. And when they saw the doctor, he told them that he can place the shoulder back without anesthesia. They fixed her broken shoulder without anesthesia and my brother told me that the entire hospital heard her scream from the pain.

Now they lack proper sanitation facilities which increase the risk of diseases and illness. Basic necessities such as food, clean water, and medical supplies are scarce, making each day a struggle for survival. Even when some aid trucks enter the Southern side of Gaza, they have to go through another war of getting some flour, water, and any kind of food. They collect anything their hands can collect without paying attention to anything, risking their lives over some food.

I can’t help my mom and my family other than sharing awareness to you. My family really need your donation or share of awareness to others please. PLEASE help me get my mom, 5 brothers, 2 sisters and their children survive war. They really need food, medication and some love and affection from you. PLEASE, help me return their smiles back and give them a hope that they will once again return to their normal lives.
