HELP US GROW RAINBOW HEIGHTS SERVICES!

Tax deductible
The first $10,000 raised will be MATCHED by an anonymous donor!

This holiday season, we ask you to help us raise $15,000 to ensure the sustainability and expansion of our mental health support services as we continue to provide peer support both in-person and over the phone.

Will you please consider donating $100, $50 or $25 today?

Your Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Rainbow Heights Club is the only agency in New York State dedicated to providing support for low-income LGBTQ people living with serious mental illness, making it even more critical for our work to continue uninterrupted.

Sufficiently staffing our on-site services while still maintaining the massive structure of telephone support we've built over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic takes more staff hours and more resources.

Can you please help to ensure we have the resources to meet our members' service needs in 2023?

Since July 2021, Rainbow Heights Club has welcomed our members back for on-site support services, while continuing to provide telephone support to those who need it. The telephone support has become a crucial part of the Club’s activities, with 92.6% of members reporting that it should remain a function of the Club. Members have shared that the telephone services not only help during a crisis, but also help members stay connected to the Club when they can’t make it in person.

Increased telephone support requires more staff hours. In 2023, we look forward to expanding Rainbow Heights Club members’ access to peer specialists through telephone and in person services. We know that this increased access will have positive outcomes on our members’ wellness.

In fact, our November 2022 member survey found that with in-person and telephone support from Rainbow Heights Club, our members have:
  • Regularly visited their psychiatrist or therapist in the past year (94%)
  • Taken their psychiatric medications as prescribed (80%)
  • Remained free of psychiatric hospitalization in the past year (82%)
  • Better self-esteem (95%)
  • Few mental health symptoms (78%)
  • Felt more hope (93%)

We need additional resources to support the expansion of in-person services and increasing member accessibility to on-site peer specialists.

Will you please help us meet that need by donating $100, $50 or $25 today?

With your help, we know we will be able to continue providing services that improve the lives of LGBTQ New Yorkers living with serious mental illness.

Thank you for your generosity and care for the Rainbow Heights Club community!

Thank you for your support! We could not do this without you!
