My husband and I have been on a long and challenging journey to become parents. After struggling with infertility for the past ten years, we were blessed with our daughter Sophia through IVF in April 2022. Sophia was born prematurely at 25 weeks and spent 40 days in the NICU before she passed away. We didn’t just lose our daughter, we lost all of the hopes and dreams we had for her. We lost first steps, first words, first days of school, graduations, and all the milestones we had imagined sharing with her. The grief has been profound, and it changed our lives in ways we’re still learning to navigate. Despite this, our desire to become parents and share our love with a child has only grown stronger.

We have continued to face fertility struggles. Over the years, we have already spent a significant amount on IVF and related medical expenses, and adoption is now our only chance to become parents to a child we can hold and raise.

We are working with American Adoptions to help us build our family. The process involves significant expenses, including agency fees, medical costs, legal fees, home study costs, potential travel, and support for the birth mother's living expenses. We hope to become active in the agency’s system by the end of the year, which means we need to raise a portion of our fundraiser amount soon to cover the initial fees. Once we are matched, additional costs will follow as we move forward in the process.

Becoming parents has always been our dream. The opportunity to give a child a loving home and be there for all of life’s milestones means everything to us.
