Help Us Give Ethan the Safe & Comfortable Sleep He Deserves

Hi, my name is Gemma,

As many of you know, I have gained a wonderful stepson, Ethan. He is an incredible boy, full of love and resilience, but he faces daily challenges due to his disabilities. Right now, one of those challenges is something that should be simple, getting a safe and comfortable night’s sleep.

Ethan has outgrown his current specialist bed, and this morning, he woke up with grazes on his forehead because he no longer fits properly and his head is pressed up against the end of the bed. As a parent, there is nothing more heartbreaking than seeing your child in discomfort and knowing you can’t give them what they desperately need.

Unfortunately, these essential beds don’t come cheap. A brand-new one costs over £6,000, which is far beyond our reach. And because we’re not officially classed as Ethan’s main carers, we aren’t eligible for any support.

We have, however, found some second-hand options for around £2,000. Still a significant amount, but much more achievable with a little help.
