Help us get to Yogyakarta & build homes for vulnerable
Donation protected
Hi there! My Name is Aisha and I am taking part in a project in Indonesia to build 5 homes for 5 chosen families who are living in a remote village with serious lack of shelter. Last year I built a home in Cambodia for a family of 4 and it was a great success! This time I have chosen to double my target and try and built 5 homes instead of 1 ..... Working alongside Habitat for Humanity really opened my eyes to what people around the world are experiencing and touched me deeply. Unfortunately a lot of the men in these villages must travel far distances to work away from home for months on end to be able to provide for their families and this leaves this communities vulnerable with only the women and children at home. These villages are targeted by gangs and traffickers take advantage of the lack of securiryu and shelter, steeling the children and their property. The structures they currently live in are not stable enough to survive monsoons and wild weather and often fall apart leaving them to live under metal sheeting and constantly rebuilding their homes. My Goal is to go to indonesia with 50 volunteers to build 5 homes in 1 week. This page has been set up to sponsor myself for the travel costs and to hire a professional videographer to document the trip so we can highlight and educate the importance to coming together worldwide for all communities and provide additional funding for materials for the build. Thank you for your support. You can follow our journey on instagram at home4ahome. Much Love Aisha.
