My wife Ashlee and I have always dreamed of living the Vanlife, traveling across the country in our beloved 2004 Ford E150 conversion van, Talulah. We spent months preparing her for the road, adding solar power and making her our home on wheels. For us, Vanlife means freedom—freedom from bills, the chance to explore nature, and the opportunity to meet new friends wherever we go. It was a dream we had only just begun to live when everything changed.
Recently, I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disorder and COPD. My health has made it difficult to work and has added urgency to our dream. I want to travel with Ashlee and make memories while I still can, to see her smile and experience the joy of adventure together. Unfortunately, Talulah’s engine locked up, and the cost of repairs is far beyond what we can afford on our limited income. Without her, we can’t continue our journey or pursue the life we’ve worked so hard to build.
Getting Talulah back on the road would mean everything to us. She’s not just a van—she’s our home and our hope for the future. With your help, we can replace her engine and finally set out on the adventures we’ve dreamed of, making the most of the time we have together. Every donation brings us closer to freedom, happiness, and the chance to live our dream.
Your donations will go directly to parts and service charges to replace the engine and nowhere else. We want all of you to know that we will use the funds wisely and toward our continued journey.
