National Great Pyrenees Rescue recently took two sweet girls into the rescue, Coral and Marie, who desperately need help! Both have come from awful neglect situations, and need us now more than ever. As the foster coordinator in Georgia and North Carolina, and the person who helped facilitate these rescues, I want to help them get the care they need.
Coral was pulled from the euthanasia list at Nash Shelter in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. was brought into the shelter from a neglect case. She has a very large mammary tumor, is heartworm positive, and is having difficulty using her back legs due to muscle loss/weakness. She is having difficulty standing as well. We need to get the mammary tumor removed asap. She also has a mass on her neck, but removing the mammary tumor is a priority. Coral is safe in foster, and is being absolutely loved on and treated like the princess she is after years of no care.
Marie, many of you remember her! She was pulled off a property in Alabama 2 months ago, where 11 other dogs lived. She came into the rescue with Donnie, her son, whom she was also forced to breed with, and then had her puppies taken away right away, where 5 died. She was chained to the porch her entire life.
We need to raise funds for both of them; EACH surgery will be $1500-$2000 (estimates attached), so I'm trying to help out with the costs. We already have some donations for Coral thanks to an amazing group, but it won't cover it all. These two girls are BOTH safe in foster, and are scheduled to get their surgeries soon, so raising this money would be so helpful for the rescue.
NGPR has taken in more dogs than ever this year, so anything helps. THANK YOU!
