Hello, my name is Roba, and I am from Gaza City, in the northern part of the Strip. My family and I lived through a deadly war and genocide. Our area was one of those completely deprived of food and medicine, and we endured several periods of siege over the span of one year and four months. A ceasefire was recently announced in three phases to stop the violence, and we are now trying to rebuild our lives as they were before the war. This includes reconstructing Gaza and repairing the damage we suffered—not just materially, although that is essential, but also emotionally.

The war left us with deep scars from the fear, hunger, and displacement we endured. These wounds will take a long time to heal. Despite all this, we are striving to rebuild our lives anew, no matter the challenges. We believe that hope remains and that the goodness in people will never disappear.

This belief inspired the idea of creating this link to help improve our living conditions and repair the damage to our home. Broken windows and cracks in the walls have made living in it extremely difficult, especially during the harsh cold. These visible damages constantly remind us of the difficult times we endured during the war.
