For flight and hospital fees accumulated

[Update] Hi, my name is Jaylin Harbin and my siblings and I are fundraising for the expenses of a tragic accident my mom was involved in while in the Dominican Republic. My mom and brother Chase were expected to enjoy the rest of the week in sunshine for his senior trip until tonight my mother took a fall and broke her hip severely, requiring surgery before being able to fly home. On top of the helplessness of not knowing how to help, her insurance is not covered in this country and she must pay for her surgery upfront, something that our family cannot afford. Another option is flying her back to the US by medivac that will cost nearly the same as a surgery. Anything helps and even if you can’t donate, please share. We know that our Mom is well loved and anything helps in our desperate times.

Update: 4/3 Our mom is still in a private  hospital in the Dominican Republic. Our plan is to hopefully arrange a medevac to fly her back home soon so she won’t have to undergo treatment in another country. We could not have gotten this far without all of the support and kindness shared with our family. thank you from the bottom of our hearts. 

Update: 4/4 our mom and this family is holding on to faith in all the good. the goal is to have her flown medically home to Michigan for treatment and surgery tomorrow. the parents in the Dominican with my mom and brother have done nothing but make this possible, our family is full of love and can not express how grateful we are for all who has been able to share or donate ❤️

Update: 4/5 we have achieved our goal of getting our mom flown to Bronson tonight, and the funds raised will further go towards the cost of the flight [$40,000] and hospital fees [10,000] that were paid upfront during this whole process.
