Hi everyone,

We're three sisters who founded Nature Makers in September 2025, a pottery studio with a social purpose, inspired by our brother Richard, who has Down's Syndrome, and our shared love of arts and crafts and how they can bring people together.

Nature Makers provides meaningful creative opportunities for adults with learning disabilities, helping people build confidence, develop new skills, make friends, and become part of a supportive community.

Based in our cosy studio within the beautiful grounds of Westbury Wildlife Park, our makers create beautiful ceramics inspired by the wildlife and natural landscapes around us.

Thanks to your initial donations, we've been able to welcome new makers into the studio, complete community art projects, develop our ceramic collections, and even purchase branded aprons to help our makers feel proud to be part of something special. We've seen first-hand how creativity can improve wellbeing, increase confidence, and create a real sense of purpose.

While we've made fantastic progress, we're still a young Community Interest Company and face the ongoing challenge of covering our core costs. We are balancing the delivery of meaningful enrichment activities with the need to generate income to keep the studio running. Our next big step is to launch our ceramic collections and expand our sales through local markets and retail partnerships, helping us build a more sustainable future for the studio and the people who attend it.

With your support, we can spend more time developing creative projects with our makers, introducing new pottery techniques, and offering nature-based activities within the wildlife park that inspires so much of what we do.
