After receiving the most difficult news that Damian's oncology team will no longer provide treatment for his brain tumour, I (Anna, Damian's wife) would love to drive up to Queensland to get him into some warmth, sunshine and the ocean.
We're lifemaxxing. Taking time to absorb each other's presence as a family, let our daughter Scout run on a beach, and just be together somewhere that feels a little lighter.
Because Damian can't fly, we're making the drive from Gippsland, which means we need wheelchair accessible accommodation along the way and at our destination. That adds both cost and complexity to a trip that we really just want to be simple and good.
Wheelchair accessible accommodation runs significantly higher than standard, and with a drive that long we'll need several nights on the road each way. The $15,000 target covers the full trip, with a small buffer for anything unexpected.
Every dollar goes toward fuel, accommodation and making this trip actually happen for our family.
Thank you for being here with us ❤️
Anna, Damian and Scout
