For over a decade, my coworkers and I have relied on each other to get to our various contract work sites. We used to have a van that transported us to and from work, but that service ended more than a year ago. Since then, it’s been a daily challenge to arrive on time and keep up with our jobs, especially for those of us who also do Uber and DoorDash to make ends meet.

I’ve been working at two of our main locations for 11 years, and I’ve driven and or delivered for Uber for 10 years. I know firsthand how much reliable transportation means to all of us. I’m willing to drive everyone, just like I used to when I drove the company van. So many people in our group need steady work, and having a new van would make a huge difference in our ability to support ourselves and our families. I will also use the van to do Uber and DoorDash, which will help supplement my income. I want to help people in the community who need a ride, even if they don’t work with us, because we all could use help from time to time.

Since I haven’t had transportation for Uber, the majority of the time I’ve used a pushcart to complete deliveries. When the weather is too cold or there are piles of snow on the ground, it’s a real challenge to keep up with orders. We’re reaching out for help because we want to keep working, help each other, and support our community. Please help with transportation for a new van for work.
