Help Us get A Home and replace our Lost Goods

Hi. My name is Naomi Tane. My partner and I are parents to 4 beautiful children with one being an infant of 2 years old. We are Homeless. We have had the most unfortunate incident occur to us at a time where it was a Season of Joy. After resigning another 12 months on our current 12 months Lease agreement in September, On the 26/11/21, we became homeless due to the ceiling collapsing in the lounge room of our Rental Property. The landlord and Real estate have not given much help. Putting responsibility of finding temporary and permanent accommodation onto our shoulders, then giving us a week to vacate by issuing us a Notice of Termination of Tenancy Agreement as the house has been deemed uninhabitable.
The landlord was notified of a crack in the ceiling weeks before. He showed up a couple of days before the incident and said, “Has that ceiling collapsed yet?” I responded, “Well, you wanna fix it before That happens don’t you?” To which he replied, “Oh, oh, yeah I’m having someone come round next week!” The next day I noticed the crack was substantially bigger so I rang him with no reply. I then messaged him with pictures. He did not reply. We were unable to have a proper Xmas or New Years as most of our finances went to peak period accomodations at a Caravan park.
We believed that the Real Estate or landlord would help us with temporary and permanent accommodation, but we haven’t had any help. We have had to dip into our savings and having to pay holiday rates which cost us over $5000 in temporary accommodation. Searching for another rental property is becoming
impossible with each of our applications being turned down due to other people offering what we can’t, Rent in Advance, 3-6 months in advance. That’s just not possible for us at this time.
We have suffered damages and losses to our contents including children’s toys, clothes, bedding and much more. We did not have contents insurance as we couldn’t afford it.
We now believe the house was not meant to have a family of 6 residing in it, due to extreme termite damage throughout the entire house and the foundations being unstable under the home. It is a more than 50 years old home and has signs of years of neglect.
We are hard working people, trustworthy and loyal. We are members in our community by volunteering our time at Local sports clubs and we would just like the chance and opportunity to prove ourselves as such as Tenants.
We have a great record of renting with no black listings and always paying our rent on time. We would love to provide for our children a safe and stable environment to thrive in.
I am fundraising for my family and I to help us get some Rent in Advance for our next Rental Property and to help replace the things we have lost. This is my only option I feel to try and get some help. Please Help Us
(I can provide more evidence of all I claim if asked.)
Picture below is of the ceiling collapsed. The fibreglass roof insulation is what has caused the loss of toys clothes ect.
