Help us fund our miracle

Hello everyone!

Firstly I would like to say thank you for taking the time to read our story. We do feel this is a little cringy but we’ve reached a point where we can only ask for help.

As our closest family and friends know myself and Shaun have dreamt of becoming parents since our devastating losses in 2019 and 2020.

A little bit of a back story, by surprise we found out we were pregnant in June 2019 but instantly knew something was wrong as I started bleeding. After numerous investigations it was found that the pregnancy was unfortunately ectopic. Luckily/unluckily this pregnancy came away naturally on its own.

This pregnancy made us realise how much we both wanted to become parents.
10 months later, we fell pregnant again.
As I’m sure anyone who has had a previous loss knows how scary it is to discover you’re pregnant again. Deep down I knew something was wrong.
To cut a long story short, this pregnancy was again Ectopic but this time due to medical negligence had been left too long and i needed emergency surgery to remove my fallopian tube which has resulted in reduced fertility.

After the second loss of our pregnancy, my health took a huge turn and I ended up being diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, this has left me very unwell and in the short 5 years I have been diagnosed I have needed 2 major surgeries leaving me with a stoma.
The most recent surgery I have had wasn’t meant to have happened until we had completed our family due to the huge risks and complications leading to infertility. Unfortunately I needed this surgery a lot sooner than expected due to the fact my Crohn’s disease came back aggressively in my remaining large intestine.

We have met with several obstetricians and gastroenterologist who have advised that having a family naturally is more than likely impossible.
They did explain to us that IVF may be the only option for us to have our own child but that doesn’t come without risks. There has also been talks of surrogacy as this could potentially be a safer option for both myself and our future child but with the cost of surrogacy being around £60,000 this is not an option to us.
We still hold on to a lot of hope that IVF will be our saving grace and give us our rainbow baby we have longed for but as I’m sure you’re aware IVF comes at a cost.
IVF in our region costs anywhere from £3000-£5000 alongside additional services totalling £4000-£6000.

We’ve really had to suck up our pride to make this GoFundMe and realise that creating our family is worth more to us than pride.
If you are able to contribute to our journey, then we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If you are not able to contribute, all we would ask is that you share our dream with your friends and family in hopes we can finally live our dream we think about every day.
Thank you all so much for reading our story.
