Help us fund a wheelchair van for Hermes
Donation protected
Dear friends and family

Over the last few years, you have been following my family’s journey with Hermes and how his condition has been progressing. Along the way, your help, prayers and advice have been priceless to us, and so we once more are reaching out to you, our community. It was with the help of all of you that we were able to install an elevator a few years ago, which we appreciate from the bottom of our hearts!

The time has come for us to buy a wheelchair accessible vehicle to make sure we can still keep having adventures with Hermes. Our current car is no longer suitable, and lifting him in and out of the car is starting to cause both me and Dimitris problems with our own bodies.

The vehicle we need to buy is like a mini van with a ramp at the back or side so that we would not need to lift Hermes anymore, he would be able to just roll in and be secured, and off we go! However, these vehicles are not cheap, and there is no financial aid to help in buying them. These cars are uncommon in Greece, which means they are usually imported from Germany, incurring additional costs like taxation.

This is where we’d like to humbly ask for your help. We are launching this fundraiser to help us meet some of the cost of buying the car, the total price of which is estimated to be around 20 to 30,000 euros. Any amount that you can help with, big or small, will be hugely appreciated! We understand that finances are tight for all of us right now given the state of the global economy, so please don’t feel obliged to donate. We know that you keep us in your deepest thoughts and prayers and we feel your love every day.
Thank you so much!
