Hello, Flower and A.K. here, we have been supporting each other through some of the toughest times in our lives. Recently, we became homeless after the car we were living in together was involved in an accident. Losing our only shelter and means of transportation has made things even more challenging, but we’re determined to keep moving forward.

We are both queer and disabled—one of us has an invisible disability, and the other uses a wheelchair. We also have an emotional support animal named Cream Puff, who is a puppy cat (a dog in a cat’s body) and brings us comfort and joy. We need a bigger space in our new vehicle to house Cream Puff as well, so all three of us can find safety and stability together.

We have already exhausted all our resources, whether it’s churches, temples, or government sources. It’s been hard for us, especially since we aren’t even part of those communities, but the help wasn’t available. Now, we are turning to the people, hoping crowdfunding will help us equitably achieve our goals in a grassroots way with the support of those who see, honor, and believe in our mission.

We have survived trauma and are committed to trauma-informed care, both for ourselves and the communities around us. Our dream is to continue building community by growing food, creating food forests, and starting nonprofit organizations that bring food sovereignty to people and provide mobility aids to those who need them.
