I am the eldest daughter of missing Tatiana Lupaca.
Tatiana Lupaca is our mum. She disappeared in New York City in January 1999. She was 27 years old.
Tatiana was a beloved wife, and deeply caring mother of two young children.
On January 25, 1999, neighbors in Brooklyn reportedly saw her loading her belongings into a van. She was believed to be traveling briefly for a job interview and intended to return within a week. She never did.
From that day forward, there were no calls, no letters, and no explanation. Our mom has never contacted her family or friends again.
For more than 25 years, her disappearance has remained unresolved, and we have no answers.
Why we are asking for help now
Since 2018, I have been investigating this case myself, and with the help of many fantastic volunteers who have assisted over the years. Unfortunately we have now reached the point where there is nothing further we can do without professional help.
Recently, new information from the period shortly before our mom disappeared has come to light. These findings may be significant, but they require proper evaluation, access to historical records, and professional investigative experience - particularly in New York, where the disappearance occurred.
That is why we are raising funds to begin working with licensed, experienced private investigators based in New York, who specialize in cold case missing persons.
How the funds will be used
100% of the funds raised will be used exclusively and solely for investigative costs.
We never wanted to ask for any additional help, and I feel conflicted about asking for money, but we really have no other option at this stage.
