Hunter Keith Baum was driving home early Tuesday morning, August 15, 2023 at approximately 1:00 a.m. on Nexton Parkway, when he was shot in the head. For 7 days Hunter fought for his life, surrounded by the love of his family who never left his side. Sadly, the damage was too much to survive. Even with this overwhelming loss they faced, Randy and Meredith unselfishly honored his wish to donate his organs. On August 26, Hunter's 24th birthday, through his death, he saved the lives of many.

Hunter's murder is an open investigation with Berkeley County and his family is desperately seeking information to help find the person(s) responsible.
