Help Us Fund For Drop Kerb Permission

Donation protected
Hello to all whom might read this,

My name is Clarice and I have decided to start a go fund me account to ask for donations towards our applications and planning permission, to get a drop curb put in at the front of our home. The reason being we don't have the money to spare at all to find out if it is possible or not. The £430 is a non refundable amount regardless of the yes or no answer.

I will try my best to keep this short and to the point,
We live on Melford way in Felixstowe, understandably most of us no matter where you go now a days, will struggle with parking as there are far to
many cars to each house hold now, however we do just have ONE family car that myself and husband share, with our two amazing children one is 2 years old and the other is 11 weeks.
We are also lucky enough to have a garage about 240ft away from our home which we could park our car in front, however trying to get a car seat out and 11 week old baby in it, along side my 2 year old toddler, bags and shopping to
my front door is just not possible. I can not just leave my 2 year old in the house to watch my 11 week old baby whilst I get the shopping to and from the car safely.
(I never would anyways/not the point)

There use to be enough parking for everyone on the road for one car each two at a push, we moved here 2 years ago, went into labour the day we were moving into our new home.
Now for a while frustratingly even after speaking/arguing with neighbours they are all taking the royal p***.

Our Neighbours have 3 cars on the road, neighbours next to them have 5/6cars on the road/by garages, next to them is 3-mostly 2 on the road. 1 by the garage, next to them is 2 Cars on the road and 3vans most days, 1 in which hasn't moved in a year, also taking up a lot of room near our garage, I can't park there some times. It just goes on and on and on.
One neighbour did get their curb dropped this was very exciting and Hopfully that there shouldn't be any fighting over parking but...they have 2 cars on it then stills have 2 by garage and I think 3 on the road? Not all directly in front of the house but where you might
consider parking if there was no options or just visiting.

Now I respect and fully understand we are all paying our road tax's, so park where you have too but at least be considerate of a young family trying to get to front door with out crying, screaming or breaking my back and stressing over the safety of my children whilst trying to unload the car.

The days where we can park in front of our house I feel like I can't go out and drive to visit my family and friends incase we can't park when I get home, even when my husband is with me and not working we can and have been manging but we shouldn't have to begging our neighbours to at least leave one space for us, not that they have or will anyways.

Luckily I am on Mat Leave still so I have been staying home as much as can, but as mums out there would know, you can go a little crazy looking at the same four walls, and feeling isolated.

Now I am feeling all sorts of emotions and know some people are going to judge and have their opinions of course and it seems setting up this page might come across as petty or silly, however this to me is my last option and being on SMP and hubby working endlessly, we don't have the £430 to risk finding out we can't drop our curb to get our car on the front of our house.

I know it should ruffly cost between £800- £1,300 to get the actual curb dropped and we don't have the money for that right now ether but just to find out if it's possible to do so and get permission from the council is all I can really wish for at this moment in time.

I am also open to any suggestions or recommendations on what we can do help resolve this issue.

I really appreciate you taking the time to read this, I do apologise if there any spelling mistakes or I had rambled on too much. Both my little ones are having a nap which gave me to time to write this and set it up. P.S. just got back from a day out at the park and I have had to park down a completely different street to mine and get my children to the front door.

Safe to say I'm glad the weather is getting warming and not raining.

Thank you again.
Best wishes for you all, will keep you posted.
