My wife and I recently moved into what we thought would be our dream apartment. We were excited to start a new chapter together, but soon after moving in, we discovered the place was infested with rats. We tried to work with our landlord to resolve the issue, but nothing was done to make our home safe. Instead, after being told we would be moved to a different unit, we were served with a 3-day notice to leave. We had already spent what little we had on rent, hoping to keep ourselves safe, but now we’re left without support or reimbursement from our landlord.

This situation has been incredibly stressful, especially for my wife, who is dealing with health issues that make a safe, clean home even more important. We’re now facing the urgent need to relocate, but the costs of moving and securing a new place are more than we can handle on our own.
