Urgent healthcare and solid ground for Dee and R

Dee's a single mama whose health is in crisis and we are finally getting her the hell off that lonely Rock, but we are scared and we need help. With the amazing kindness of folks who helped us through this far we have been eking by - thank you so much for your care and humanity. But Dee's now seen a specialist who has concerns she needs to get intensively medically assessed. With no-one to watch Dee's 13 year old daughter in Newfoundland and no support (to put it kindly) from family, Dee cannot risk being admitted to hospital. So, it's crunch time and the move is happening as soon as possible, so that we can bring this little family home to Hamilton, get them both connected with quality health care (as compared to Newfoundland) and, importantly, connected with people who love them and a town full of loving, rad humans, a "village," to help them find a place for themselves where they feel strong and safe to flourish. Once here, among other things, there will be people who love R to look after her if and as Dee needs to access hospital treatment.

As her illness has progressed and compounded over the last few years, unfortunately Dee has been unable to do the work she is trained for and been in too much pain for physical work, and NL's social safety net is what you'd expect. We need help to finance flights for D & R and possibly for a friend to head to NL to help with the move given Dee's disability, settle up bills, move their lives, pay first and last rent, furnish an apartment, pay for nonfunded healthcare needs, keep their cats alive, transportation once they get to Hamilton, living expenses until ODSP which takes time (and is peanuts,) and whatever other calamities might be between here and solid ground.
