Hi, I’m Siya, the fundraising coordinator for Free All My Suns, Inc. (FAMS). Our nonprofit is committed to supporting individuals and families impacted by incarceration, providing resources, mentorship, and pathways to a brighter future.

One of the core areas we focus on is helping people rebuild their lives after incarceration—and a critical part of this journey is access to job training and economic empowerment.

That’s why we are raising funds to support our Pathways Training Academy through a VR-based platform. This program is designed to provide individuals, especially those who are justice-impacted or from underserved communities, with hands-on training in high-demand construction trades like electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC.

With your help, we can offer these individuals the opportunity to gain the skills, certifications, and confidence they need to secure well-paying, stable jobs in the trades. Not only will this create better opportunities for them, but it will also contribute to reducing recidivism and breaking the cycle of incarceration.

With the recent closure of the Job Corps program, the need for accessible and quality trades training has never been greater. Many individuals who previously relied on Job Corps for job training and placement are now left without a vital resource. Our trades training program is here to fill that gap, providing an essential opportunity for those seeking stable, fulfilling careers in the trades.
