Hello, my name is Fernando aka Myxo

On the night of August 8th, after coming home from work, my father was detained and taken into an ICE detention facility. Despite having no criminal record and no prior bad history, due to the current circumstances of the world we live in, it's been a fight to get him out and fight his case outside of the detention center. Our initial lawyer scammed us and was very unprofessional. After finding a new trustworthy lawyer, the fees are slowly starting to add up with every court and new paperwork submission. My dad is the main breadwinner of the family and was also helping my younger sister pay for her college. My younger brother was impacted emotionally and hasn't been as focused in school. Not to mention, my mother and I are doing our best to not only provide for the household but keep our own mental health stable. Help us fight ICE and injustice. Help us keep our family together. Anything helps and, God willing, justice will prevail.

En la noche del 8 de agosto, después de regresar a casa del trabajo, mi padre fue detenido y llevado a un centro de detención de ICE. A pesar de no tener antecedentes penales ni historial negativo previo, debido a las circunstancias actuales del mundo en que vivimos, ha sido una lucha sacarlo y pelear su caso fuera del centro de detención. Nuestro abogado inicial nos estafó y fue muy poco profesional. Después de encontrar un nuevo abogado confiable, los honorarios están comenzando a acumularse lentamente con cada tribunal y nueva presentación de documentos. Mi papá es el principal sostén de la familia y también estaba ayudando a mi hermana menor a pagar su universidad. Mi hermano menor se vio afectado emocionalmente y no se ha concentrado tanto en la escuela. Sin mencionar que mi madre y yo estamos haciendo todo lo posible no solo para mantener el hogar, sino también para mantener estable nuestra propia salud mental. Ayúdenos a luchar contra ICE y la injusticia. Ayúdenos a mantener a nuestra familia unida. Cualquier ayuda es bienvenida y, si Dios quiere, la justicia prevalecerá.
