My name is Sonny, and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my nieces, Kori (7) and Aspyn (6).

Our family was shattered by the sudden loss of my sister Alex. And now, in the middle of our grief, we are facing the hardest fight of all, protecting her little girls.

After Alex’s passing, the girls were taken out of state to Florida, far away from their entire family and even their brother they grew up with. This has been especially devastating because Alex had sole custody of her girls. We are deeply concerned for their well-being, as there are serious issues in that home, including past physical and sexual abuse. Kori and Aspyn deserve safety, stability, and the comfort of being raised by family who loves them unconditionally.

The only way to do this is through the courts. We urgently need to hire an attorney and cover legal fees to fight for guardianship and bring the girls home. These costs are overwhelming, and our family cannot do it alone.

Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward legal and attorney fees. Your support will help us stand up for the girls, protect them from harm, and honor my sister’s memory by giving her daughters the secure and loving childhood she wanted for them.
