Hi, my name is Sara, and I’m fundraising on behalf of my husband Carlos and our family.

Recently, someone from Texas has been threatening Carlos — demanding money for truck damages from a slow-speed car accident that occurred in a parking lot in Oklahoma. We didn’t refuse to pay, just needed some time to figure out how we could make it work, but the individual threatened to call ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) on Carlos.

This is not just a scare tactic — it’s extortion, plain and simple. We are emotionally exhausted and afraid, but we know we can’t give in. We are standing up for what’s right. They said they have seen where we live on Google and my Facebook page. (They took a picture of Carlos’s driver’s license.)
