Help Us Empower Rare Disease Patients

Tax deductible
Want to join us and make a difference in the lives of rare disease patients?

Rare disease is in our families and among our friends.

Rare disease patients are by definition, rare. They do not have the numbers to spur the extensive clinical trials of more common diseases. They have to manually manage endless medical data from different doctors, keep track of test results, and push for diagnostic testing. They have to advocate for themselves in ways patients of more researched diseases often don't have to. The course of action for their recovery or treatment is typically undefined or even unknown to their doctor which forces them to have to search for doctors that are familiar with their disease.

We want to change all that with Honeycomb Health.

We are a small team working toward something really big.

Honeycomb Health will empower patients suffering from rare diseases by providing them with the ability to securely store, access, and share their health information all in one place. They will be able to share their data with health care providers, loved ones, and future generations that might be afflicted by the same disease. By owning their data and uniting with other patients like them, members of Honeycomb Health will have a better chance at pushing for- and participating in- clinical trials.

Honeycomb Health will be the hub where large groups of patients afflicted from the same disease can connect with the organizations with the means to help them. Let's end the isolation and wait-time so many rare disease patients face on a daily basis.

Help us finish the first phase of Honeycomb Health. Your donation will go toward our phase one user testing, user experience designs, and development costs.

We are starting with Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD) patients for our first phase. SCAD survivors first learn they have this disease after they suffer a heart attack. Most SCAD survivors don't have the typical physical attributes associated with known causes of heart attacks. In fact, most SCAD survivors led active, healthy lives before their diagnosis. Once diagnosed, they undergo continuous diagnostics for the rest of their lives. Doctors often misdiagnose this disease because not enough information has been shared and more research is needed.

We are making a commitment to SCAD survivors by offering them free membership to Honeycomb Health for life. We are working with members of the SCAD Alliance to make Honeycomb Health the hub ALL rare disease patients truly need. All other patients of rare diseases that join Honeycomb Health will pay a small monthly fee that will help us grow and promote Honeycomb Health to help fill the divide between rare disease patients and their cures.

Your donation will help make an impact and bring this project closer to achieving our vision of closing the information gap between patients and their families, healthcare providers, and clinical trials.

Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us and the many underserved patients of rare diseases.

Sincerely,
