Help us develop a community workshop space

Hi, we are Joss and Evelyn, Peace of Green Community Interest Company. We work in and around Leicester and Leicestershire, providing outdoor sessions which aim to improve people's mental health and well-being, through helping them to connect with nature, creativity, themselves and others.

We focus on working with groups of people who often don't get as many chances as others to get outside and do nice things, perhaps because money is tight, they have a disability, mental health difficulty or illness, or they don't feel so confident going outdoors because of their gender, age, ethnicity or something else.

We work hard to make our sessions as accessible and inclusive as possible, because we passionately believe that nature can have a powerful healing effect on people, and that no one should miss out on it. We are a Community Interest Company, which means that we rely heavily on grant funding, and any profit we make goes back into supporting our work, so that we can provide free sessions for those that need them, and so we can continue to support as many people as possible.

We have just managed to get hold of a beautiful, small workshop space, in the Belgrave area of Leicester, complete with amazing gardens including a wild woodland area. We are aiming to use this space to help us reach more communities that have limited access to natural spaces, as well as to offer workshops and events for groups and the public.

We are really excited about this new opportunity for us, but we could do with a hand getting the workshop space up and running, and paying the rent! We would love it if you felt that you would like to support our work in this way!
