I am the grandmother of a sweet 21-month-old girl named Victoria, and a grieving mother who lost my own daughter—Victoria’s mom—to suicide in October of last year. My close friend Ashlyn stepped in as Victoria’s foster mom in September 2025 and is now preparing to adopt her.

Our dream is to move into a home where we can all live together, giving Victoria the support, stability, and family connection she needs, with our goal being to give her the strongest possible start in life. But as two single women living paycheck to paycheck, saving enough for a security deposit and first month’s rent, while covering everyday expenses, is a challenge we can’t meet alone.

We are asking for help from our community to make this move possible, so that we can create a safe, supportive home for Victoria, where she is surrounded by love. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us give Victoria the stable home she deserves.
