Help us have our baby (through a gestational carrier)!

THE NEED:
Hi, my name is Stephanie, and my husband, Tim and I need $50,000 for a gestational carrier to carry our amazing, magnificent… and incredibly-frozen embryo.

THE STORY:
I found out I was infertile in 2022, but we were determined to start a family so we began the process of infertility treatments. Thankfully, we ended up with one perfect embryo.

Unfortunately, after months of treatments to prepare my uterus before transferring the embryo, we discovered it wasn't working because I have Asherman's Syndrome. This greatly increases my risk of hemorrhaging and possibly dying in the third trimester or during birth.

Our next option is hiring a gestational carrier to help us grow this one embryo into a baby. This has been a three-year journey that I wouldn't wish upon any other human dreaming of being a parent. We are so close. Please help us get there.

THE COST:
IVF was not only challenging mentally, physically, and emotionally, it was also draining financially. Although we only walked away with one embryo (most people get three or more), it cost us $30,000, depleting our savings account.

Hiring a gestational carrier will cost at least $50,000 additional dollars to accomplish our goal of having this baby, so we’re starting with that as a goal.

THE BREAKDOWN:
The fact that any woman would offer to help us have a baby, is remarkable. We want to make sure this beautiful human is cared for in every way possible. Here is a breakdown so you understand why we need $50,000 to make this dream come true.

$30,000 to the incredible woman carrying and birthing our one baby.
$5,000 if the embryo splits into twins and she needs to carry and give birth to two babies.
$500 after the positive pregnancy HCG blood test
$500 after confirmation of pregnancy by ultrasound of fetal heartbeat.
$500 for IVF treatment cycle
$500 for the transfer procedure of one embryo.
$1,000 for a loss of an organ as a direct result of pregnancy or birth.
$1,500 for Cesarean Section, if needed
$250 per week for breast milk
$1,800 for GS legal counsel

The rest is reimbursements for any incidental expenses likely to be incurred in connection with the gestational carrier obligations such as but not limited to, invasive procedures, medications, counseling, maternity clothes, postpartum care, living expenses like prenatal vitamins, prenatal visits, travel expenses, cell phone charges, postage, internet charges, meals on days of appointments, notarizing documents, childcare for her other two kiddos, lost wages, feminine products.

Thank you for any amount you can provide to assist us with the financial cost of this extraordinary opportunity to have our son (that's right, the embryo is a high-grade male embryo).

Thanks and we'll be in touch!
Stephanie and Tim
