Social security is once again taking my benefits away. This time they claim that I owe them almost $46k and they've completely stopped my disability payments that I (and my roommate) need to get by. I work part time, but it is not enough. I'm currently in the middle of appealing their decision and reapplying for my SSDI but my next phone appointment with them isn't until May 15.

It was suggested to me that I apply for temp disability via EDD, but when I tried I got an error saying records did not match and to call them, but when I did I just got the AI robot which in the end said that a representative had reached the max amount of calls for the day and to use the automated system, which hung up on me because there were no options that could help me. I'm thinking they're gong to be discriminatory because of the 'X' under 'sex' on my state ID. Either way I'll have no money for next month, and I'm already in the red for this month. I'm currently looking for is help with my rent for May which is $1,525 along with any added expenses. Goal may be raised if the appeal drags out.

Remember my roommate and I are both disabled, and I'm a trans/non-binary, Hispanic little person. I'm the only one that is currently working part-time and my hours (currently) are maxing out at 12 hours a week. I'd been trying to keep my work hours low so this exact situation doesn't happen. We do not have family in the area and my roommate has been deemed medically unfit for work. He's been trying to apply for social security but he has twice gotten randomly kicked off just in the beginning applying process (never even had a person speak with him).

We also have a cat named Panzer who has been worrying over both of us since this happened.
