For 20 years, our family has been scaring the neighborhoods of Oakland and San Leandro — all in the name of Halloween fun!

Every year, we transform our home into a completely FREE haunted walkthrough for our community. We love giving local kids and families a fun Halloween experience, especially those who may not be able to afford other haunted attractions.

Halloween is also a birthday celebration for us — and this year is the big 4-5!

Each year we choose a new theme. We’ve done Resident Evil, classic horror icons, a freak show, and more. We build many of our props ourselves and have collected some special animatronics over the years.

But the best part is the backyard, where it becomes a true family affair! The kids, aunts, uncles, and other family members all dress up, take their places throughout the haunt, and wait to scare the kids and families brave enough to walk through. It’s a tradition our entire family looks forward to every year.

This year’s theme is Medieval Torture, and we’ve been hard at work building homemade torture devices and creating this year’s experience.

Unfortunately, two of our animatronics and several other props were stolen.

With unexpected home repairs already making this a difficult year, replacing everything that was taken is more than we planned for.

We don’t want the theft to take away a 20-year tradition that has brought our family and community so much joy.

We’re asking for a little help to bring back the scares. Any donations will go toward replacing what was stolen and finishing this year’s haunt. If you can’t donate, sharing our GoFundMe means just as much.

Our goal is simple: keep the haunt FREE, keep the tradition alive, and give our neighborhood another Halloween to remember
