Our mosque in Korhati village, Bangladesh is already active and serving the community. Alhamdulillah, attendance has grown beyond what the current space can hold — especially on Jumu’ah and during Ramadan. Many worshippers are left standing outside due to lack of space. To ensure no one is turned away from the house of Allah, we are now extending the mosque.

This extension will allow the mosque to better serve the community and, in the future, operate as a madrasa for people of all ages — children, youth, and adults — nurturing Islamic knowledge, personal growth, and unity within the village.

Allah says:

The mosques of Allah are only maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day.

(Surah At-Tawbah 9:18)

Ramadan is only a few days away

As Ramadan approaches, our hearts turn back to Allah. It is a time when good deeds are multiplied, du‘as are answered, and charity carries immense reward.

The Prophet ﷺ said that charity given in Ramadan is among the most virtuous. Donating to this mosque extension is a form of Sadaqah Jariyah a continuous charity. Every prayer prayed, every Qur’an recited, and every lesson taught within these walls will continue to bring reward Long after we are gone. You may donate on behalf of yourself or in the name of a deceased loved one.

Allah reminds us:

"The example of those who spend in the way of Allah is like a seed that grows seven ears; in each ear are a hundred grains.”

(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:261)

Project progress

Alhamdulillah, approximately 40% of the work has already been completed.

The remaining work includes and approx cost:

Roof – 4 lakh

Windows & glass panels – 4.5 lakh

Wiring & lighting – 1.5 lakh

Air conditioning units – 1.5 lakh

Stairway to second floor – 1 lakh

Painting & tiling – 2.5 lakh

To complete the extension, we now need approximately £6,325. (10.5 Lak)

This mosque was founded by my father, and our family has contributed around 30% of the costs. Alhamdulillah, a further 20% has come from the generosity of others. We are now close to completion, and with your help, the mosque can fully serve the growing number of worshippers, especially during Ramadan and beyond.

Important note on Zakat

According to many scholars, Zakat cannot be used for mosque construction or extensions. We kindly ask donors to carry out their own research and donate accordingly (e.g. Sadaqah or Lillah).

Please donate what you can, keep this project in your du‘as, and share this appeal with others. Even a small contribution in Ramadan can carry immense weight with Allah.

May Allah accept this from all of us, forgive our shortcomings, and make this mosque a source of continuous reward for generations to come.
