Help Us Complete Our Adoption Story

Thank you so much to everyone who has helped us along this adoption journey and who continue to follow us. We thankfully completed the adoptions in November 2024 after 9 long, tiring and difficult years. The past 6 months have been filled with obtaining documents, translations, health checks, and waiting, waiting and more waiting. We've completed all the necessary legal documents in Mexico and have already submitted our adoption information and request for US citizenship and issuance of the certificate from US immigration. We are currently awaiting approval for that for travel to the US. We knew there would be a wait especially with the changes in government and current immigration climate but its proving to be longer than we had hoped. We also hit a snag in obtaining Mexican passports but are hoping to get that worked out soon. Once approval from USCIS is received, we will have to get a visa from the US consulate here in Mexico to be able to legally enter the US. There are a lot of moving parts still to be accomplished and expenses we still have and we covet your prayers and support still.

While we were so blessed in our last fundraising efforts, we didn't reach our goal and we will have some more expenses currently and that will come up.

Our adoption story has definitely been a LONG and HARD journey but also one filled with love and hope and a lot of faith. Unfortunately for us, it's not quite over yet. We’re still in a long season of wait and honestly, survival. The reality is any adoption but especially ours comes with significant and ongoing financial hurdles. Each milestone requires funding we are doing our best to meet. While its so hard for me to see the way ahead sometimes, I can always look back and see how we’ve come so far and survived many other times when our days and circumstances seemed quite impossible to overcome. We have made it this far with the love and help from family and friends but we cannot complete this journey without your help.

We have had so many extra adoption related expenses I was not prepared for and also extra life expenses that we've felt very defeated lately. Our most immediate need is approx. $300 per kid so we can (hopefully) get the Mexican passports issued without further delay.
