We are the Directors and Wider Board members of Consett HEART, Heritage and Arts Centre and we are based in The Old Ambulance Hall in John Street.

For over five years we have been tenants of this historic building operating as a volunteer ran Heritage and Arts Centre running groups, art and heritage exhibitions, live music, theatre, spoken word and film screenings all at an affordable rate for the people of Consett. It is a project ran by the community, for the community.

We are registered as not for profit and every penny we make goes straight back into the Centre and improving our cultural offer for the people of Consett.

Our landlords now intend to sell the building however they have given us the wonderful opportunity to buy it, which we intend to do.

We need your help. We're applying for grants but have a back up plan of a Business Mortgage if we need it. This fundraiser is will help raise the deposit or give us a head start in making some renovations to make the Centre more sustainable, accessible and affordable to run.

Every little really does help and even if you can't afford to donate, please share everywhere.
