Help Us Build the McHenry Family

Growing up, my sister was a doting, motherly figure in my life. Whether she was holding my hand on the way home from school or making sure our lunches were packed, our family always looked forward to the day that she would become a mother herself.
We were thrilled when Haley met her husband, Brandon, in 2003 while playing college soccer. From the beginning, their dreams as a couple revolved around their excitement to start a family.
After ten years of supporting each other through college, cross-country moves, and several of the other curveballs we all know life can throw us, they were eager to come home to Wyoming and begin their journey as parents. This journey has been challenging and presented them with more trials and tribulations than they could have imagined or anticipated.
In 2014, Haley and Brandon chose to seek reproductive assistance. As a family, we were all hopeful that this would be the answer to acheive their lifelong dreams of becoming parents. Heartbreak and loss occured multiple times, but they didn't let this deter them. Eventually, it led them to attempt an expensive option known as In-Vitro Fertilization, or IVF. In November of 2016, during their second IVF attempt, they were beyond thrilled to find out that they were finally carrying a baby girl. The elation our family felt was immeasurable. At an ultrasound, heartbreak hit yet again and they had lost their child.
I'm sure many of you can identify with the feeling of a loss so immense. We could do nothing but rally as a family and admire the strength and resiliance that Brandon and Haley displayed through such a trying and grief-stricken time.
Haley and Brandon's spirit isn't broken. Althought this wasn't a part of their plan, they are looking to explore other ways of becoming the amazing parents we know they'll be. They have begun to look at adoption and surrogacy, which, unfortunatley, come with a substancial financial burden. In talking with Haley and Brandon, who have already invested $60,000 into their journey, I'm inspired by their no-regrets optimism and willingness to keep moving forward.
By creating this Go Fund Me page and doing literally anything it takes to help them get there, our family has decided to stand beside them and their never-give-up attitude. We have crafted things, planned garage sales, planned a super fun 5k run/walk, and brainstormed for hours to think of services we can provide this amazing community that will help us raise the necessary funds for Brandon and Haley. On that note, if you have any cool and inspired fundraising ideas, we are open to suggestions!
As we brainstormed, we talked about just how AMAZING our community really is and how it is full of grace, love, and open hearts. This is why I am asking you to contribute whatever you are able to in an effort to be an integral piece of building this family. Also I've been waiting to be the "cool aunt" and I am looking forward to meeting baby McHenry soon:)
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!
