My name is Gisele. I am a mother of four children, including an autistic daughter, and alongside my husband, I am a co-founder of Spectrum Life Hub Community Interest Company, a UK-registered CIC that will be operating in Kigali, Rwanda.

For over 10 years, I have worked supporting vulnerable children in care and fostering. Through this work, I believed I understood children’s needs deeply but nothing prepared me for the even greater understanding I gained as a parent.

Being my daughter Na'ilah mummy, it has shown me how many families are navigating neurodiversity feeling isolated, overwhelmed, and without the support they need.

That is why we created Spectrum Life Hub CIC.

We are currently raising funds to open a sensory-friendly community hub in Kigali, Rwanda, an inclusive space for neurodiverse children, young people, adults, and their families.

At the moment, many families in Rwanda are facing limited awareness and almost no sensory-friendly spaces. Too many families are going through this journey alone.

We want to change that.

Spectrum Life Hub will be a place where families feel seen, supported, and not alone. It will provide:

• sensory-friendly spaces and activities

• support and guidance for parents and caregivers

• neurodiversity awareness and training

• a welcoming community for neurodiverse individuals of all ages

The funds we are raising will go directly towards securing a space, setting up sensory rooms, and creating a calming environment where people can feel understood and supported.

We are now taking the first steps to bring this vision to life and no donation is too small. Every contribution helps us move closer to opening this space for families who need it most.
