Growing up, I had the incredible opportunity to travel the country with my mom, experiencing new places and meeting people from all walks of life. Those memories have always stayed with me, and as I’ve gotten older, I’ve felt the pull to return to that sense of freedom and adventure. Unfortunately, the reality of our local economy has made it nearly impossible to thrive—rent and house prices are sky-high, and wages just don’t keep up. My partner and I are tired of feeling stuck in a system that doesn’t work for regular people like us.

That’s why we’ve decided to build a skoolie—a school bus converted into a self-sufficient home on wheels. For us, this isn’t just about travel; it’s about reclaiming our independence and living life on our own terms. We want to explore the country, meet new people, and create a life that feels authentic and fulfilling, without having to work ourselves to exhaustion or win the lottery.

The funds we raise will go directly toward buying the bus, transporting it to my parents’ house, and transforming it into a cozy, reliable home. We’ll use your support for essentials like solar panels, batteries, insulation, repairs, a water system, and appliances such as a propane fridge and stove.
