We started with a vision of creating a space for home educated children and their families to meet up, socialize, play and explore nature at our local eco farm at FarmEco in Screveton. Our group has expanded rapidly and we have seen over 110 different kids and their families and regularly have 20-30 kids twice a week attend for all day sessions exploring the woodland at FarmEco and helping with fruit harvests.

In this time we've seen incredible changes in the children and their families. Kids confidence growing beyond measure, making friends and exploring nature in all weathers. Home educating is sometimes forced upon families when the school system doesn't suit their child. We've found our space is providing community to pick these people back up and empower them and let them feel part of something bigger once again.

We've now secured the opportunity to establish our own little slice of land at FarmEco and with that we would like to create a community garden space with seating, cooking and prep area and of course lots of play.

We hope to grow sufficient produce to allow the kids a crop share. Have excess to sell on to local business and of course support local initiatives in need of food donations.

We think the kids can learn incredible amounts from being outside, designing the garden, building it and then nurturing its growth. We want the whole project to be as child led as possible. Our kids are the future and we want to give them the tools to do things right.

We have a huge vision but it all starts with baby steps. Any donations we received will only go back into the project as we are a not for profit group. We need kids gardening tools, cooking equipment, materials for building a shelter and an honestly shed in time for harvest time next year.

The community at FarmEco have been immensely supportive so far and all we need now is a little kickstart to make real change happen.
