Hello everyone,

We are Mohammed (23) and Yazan (21), two brothers who have been supporting each other as we survived one of the most horrific genocides in recent history.

We were born and raised in Gaza, and we are still here.

For the past 18+ months, the horrors you have seen through the news or social media—we have witnessed them with our own eyes, every single day.

We have lost countless loved ones, precious memories, and the daily lives we once knew.

And yet, despite everything, we are still here—filled with both pride and gratitude for simply surviving.

About Us

Mohammed was a university student studying Management Information Systems.

Yazan, a talented young man, was also a university student pursuing his dreams in graphic design.

While studying, we also launched our own business—a design and consulting company—and were off to a promising start.

But when the war began, both our university and our office were destroyed by airstrikes. In an instant, our hopeful future collapsed.

Still, we didn’t give up.

We used our skills to create a brand called Fekra (which means “Idea” in Arabic).

Even under such extreme conditions, we chose to fight with creativity—to build a future with our own hands.

And in the midst of it all, Mohammed was able to marry the love of his life, Nagham, here in Gaza last fall. They continue to resist by choosing to nurture love instead of surrendering to violence.

️️About Fekra — A Brand Born from Hope

Fekra is more than a brand—it's a symbol of our belief that ideas and values can shine even in the darkest of times.

Through this project, we are not relying solely on donations.

Instead, we are using our creativity and skills to create products that bring joy to others and give us hope—and a source of income—in return.

We Want to Live

No matter how hard we try to stay positive, the constant bombings nearby, repeated evacuation orders, and rising prices weigh us down.

Every time we hear rumors of a ceasefire or a border opening, hope and fear flood our hearts—

Hope that we might finally reclaim our lives, and fear that we may not make it out in time.

We do not want to leave the land we love and where we were born.

But to live without fearing death every second—to build our lives and work toward a future—we need to take a step outside.

We want to leave Gaza and start rebuilding our lives from the ground up.

The Barrier to Escape: Cost

Right now, it is said that it costs between $5,000 and $7,000 per person(Mohammed and his wife Nagham and Yazan) just to leave Gaza.

The situation is constantly changing, and even the exact amount is uncertain.

Still, we must be ready when the opportunity comes.

But just surviving day to day already requires so much.

Saving up enough money to leave is nearly impossible under these conditions.

私たちはモハメド（23）とヤザン（21）、兄弟で支え合いながら、この最悪のジェノサイドを生き抜いてきました。私たちはガザで生まれ育ち、今もこの地にいます。
この18か月以上、皆さんがニュースやSNSで目にしてきた恐ろしい現実を、私たちは毎日、目の前で、肌で感じながら生きてきました。数えきれないほど多くの大切な人々、思い出、そして日常を失いました。
それでも、今日まで苦難を耐え抜いて生き延びてきたことに誇りと感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。

私たちについて

モハメドは経営情報システムを学ぶ大学生でした。
ヤザンもグラフィックデザイン専攻の、才能ある若者で、大学で夢の実現に向かって努力していました。

学業に励みながら、兄弟でデザインとコンサルティングを専門とする会社も立ち上げ、順調なスタートを切っていました。しかし、侵攻が始まると同時に、大学も会社も空爆によって破壊され、希望に満ちていた日常は、突如として絶たれてしまいました。

それでも私たちは諦めず、自分たちのスキルを活かし、「Fekra（フィクラ）」というブランドを立ち上げました。
この困難な状況の中でも創造力を武器に自分たちの手で未来を切り開こうと決めたのです。

そして昨年秋、モハメドはガザの中で、愛する女性ナガムと結婚することができました。ふたりは暴力に屈するのではなく、愛を育むことを選び、抵抗を続けています。

️ 「Fekra（フィクラ）」という希望

Fekra（アラビア語で「アイディア」）は、私たちの想いと信念を形にしたブランドです。
私たちはこのプロジェクトを通して、寄付だけに頼らず、自分たちのスキルで人々に喜んでもらい、そこから収入を得て生きる希望につなげています。

⏳ 生きたい

どんなに前向きにあろうとしても、すぐ近くでの爆撃、繰り返される避難勧告、そして高騰し続ける物価に、心が折れそうになることがあります。停戦や検問所が開くという噂を耳にするたび、
「ようやく人生を取り戻せるかもしれない」という希望と、
「その前に無事にガザを出られるのか」という不安が交互に押し寄せてきます。

本当は、私たちの生まれ育ったこの愛する地を離れたくなどありません。
けれど、死に怯えることなく自分たちの力で生きていくためには、外の世界へ一歩踏み出す必要があると決意しました。
私たちは、ガザを離れ、新しい人生を自分たちの手で築いていきたいと考えています。

外へ出るための壁、それは「費用」

現在、1人あたりの出国に5,000〜7,000ドル以上がかかると噂されています。
状況は日々変化しており、正確な額すら不明ですが、それでもそのときに備えて準備を進めなければなりません。

しかし今の私たちにとって、日々を生き抜くための出費だけでも精一杯で、ガザを出るための資金を貯めることは極めて困難です。
