We are the Pocatello Cello Collective- a free organization committed to connecting cellists through Southeast Idaho.

We are a platform community, dedicated to helping all cellists of every ability find local resources to nurture their creative journey with the cello. We are here to connect and strengthen the friendships and creativity of Pocatello's growing cello community.

Our platform provides resources for cellists looking for private lessons or cello workshops; we also run a weekly cello choir and a cello library to borrow from. All of these resources are and always will be free.

Our cello library currently has 4 cellos of varying sizes. These are either purchased secondhand by myself or donated by generous community members. This lending library provides quality instruments for beginning cellists, loaner cellos for cellists waiting for repairs on their personal instruments, and everything in between. This free resource significantly offsets the barrier of entry for beginning cellists, as quality cellos are incredibly expensive and limited in our area.

My goal is to grow our cello library to a full fleet of fractional sizes, plus 2 more full size cellos. I always source our library cellos secondhand to support folks in our cello community, and I try to keep our overhead to a minimum. Our largest expenses are the monthly rent we pay for our cello studio, plus repairs on our current library cellos.

Funds raised through this campaign will continue our housing for the cello library and rehearsal space for our cello choir, provide much-needed maintenance for our current library cellos (new strings, bow re-hairs, safer cases, seam repairs), and ultimately grow our library to our goal.
