Let’s Build Connect Collaborative CommUnity

Hello beautiful people! We are so excited to share with you *drum roll please* our 2025 fundraising mission which will benefit us and many of you directly in our CommUnity. So let’s build what we call Connect Collaborative - a CommUnity for independent education. “CCC”. We’ll see. Or, “C”. Haha.
I know many of us have been talking about launching something like this for years now- one cozy and welcoming space under one roof for us to offer all that we do from homeschool enrichment to yoga to birth and beyond…so why now? Some of the babies I’ve watched be born end up in my classes! What an honor. And recently, an opportunity has presented itself in the form of a space which is not only familiar as I used to teach yoga there in the past, but it’s also more affordable monthly than other commercial spaces in this region and we know many of you are looking for a new homeschool hub to call home. Where we can do allllmost what we want but at the least have the creative power to create our own calendars and classes which suit each family’s needs.

Many of you want to either access more of what I try to intentionally provide families or have skills and wisdoms to share in your own offerings! Will you help us get this idea off the ground and make it fly so everyone can collaborate and cocreate ? The goal is to grow as we go!

Imagine a cozy, one-room schoolhouse open floor plan studio feel with a kitchenette where kindergarten aged students learn through play & movement and then help prepare lunch together…taking breaks as needed to rest or regulate and decompress with sensory spaces.

-or envision preteen and friends designing a stop motion animation video, attend chess club over snacks or helps run their own special interest group.

-A parent finds their relaxation in a yoga class after hours or leads a workshop they’ve always wanted to provide.
It really is what you can imagine.

Connect Collaborative is a nondenominational commUnity co-op and learning lounge for creative kids, curious parents, and passionate educators of all walks of life.

Everyone has something to teach and something to learn.

Our philosophy is centered around connection, communication, collaboration, coregulation and creation.

We’re on a mission to open our doors (which the landlords have already begun fixing) this fall, but we need your help to make the rest happen! Especially while we build students and guerilla market the good word across local towns.
One thing we’ve learned about commUnity is to call on them!

It’s an inclusive hub for homeschool enrichment classes, bodywork and wellness, and all-around community connection be it a book club for kids or adults or whatever one wants to offer. Pitch your idea to Angelina. If it aligns with Connect we’ll go from there dreaming up how to create, and pitch your class/es. It is an ala cart educational style and investment model. If you are a safe representative for children and families in the commUnity you are welcome here.

How else does future calendar offerings look? music and movement, digital arts, stovetop cooking, yoga, birth education, mother circles and seasonal fundraisers to help support the space .

Imagine kids giggling while making stovetop snacks, parents sharing wisdom or offering support in a circle over coffee, and quirky classes like “Improv for Tiny Humans” or “Stop-Motion Animation 101.” Everyone’s invited to learn, connect, and create.

Why do we need you? So many of you have told us you would want something like this. Startup costs are real—your support helps us secure this space, stock up on art supplies, yoga mats, kitchen supplies, safety supplies like fire blankets, a dechoker for good measure and kickstart our dream fused with your shared vision while we work toward potential nonprofit status. This first year will determine if that is actualized as even achieving non profit status costs money to even attempt to access the grants available to them.

What happens if the space cannot be secured and thus does not launch this fall? Your funds will be safely delivered back to you and we’ll keep you in the loop on where and when it can be ready for take off again!

We are starting with small group classes for young kids and pretweens+, and some adult offerings, but even if the ceilings aren’t vaulted in this quaint space, why put a ceiling on our potential? The space is just enough for what we need now. There are microschools that have been smaller. If we outgrow we’ll know and from there we will go! But first, baby steps.

Got an idea for “mommy and me” classes? or “Teen magazine or yearbook”? We’re all ears! Connect Collaborative isn’t just a space—it’s a community where creativity, connection, and smiles, laughter and dad jokes are always welcome.

How can you help? Donate, share, or pitch a class idea—maybe “improv for tweens” or “Parent & Me Dancing.” Every dollar gets us closer to opening our doors. With your help, Connect Collaborative will be the coziest spot in town for learning, laughing, and growing together. Please donate today and throughout our campaign to help us build a community where everyone feels at home in our homeschoolers home away from home.
