Caversham Muslim Association has been in existence for over 13 years, serving the community in the Greater Caversham Area. It is a registered charity with the Charity Commission for England and Wales (we should be showing the registered charity number). Upto 50 monthly services are provided to the community (including Youth Club, Community Social Events, Youth Workshops, Sisters’ Social Events, Career Workshops, Organised Sports Events, Workshops to promote community wellbeing and religious services such as holding daily congregational prayers, Jummah prayers, and organising Islamic events at one central location). Many of the services are open to all members of Caversham. Currently, services are provided using local halls for hire. As the community has grown and our services have expanded, the current hiring facilities are insufficient to deliver current and future activities.

Our ambition is to secure our own premises to expand our services and meet the needs of the community. We are also keen to expand our reach and cater to our non-Muslim communities. A Community Hub in Caversham will achieve all this and more with your support. Establishing such in Caversham will be the first and only facility in the north of Reading.

Land and buildings are at a premium in North of Reading. Currently the CMA is working to secure a plot of land located centrally in Caversham, which provides good public transport links and offers sufficient space for future expansion. Alternative suitable options are also being considered.

We call upon you to support our efforts by donating generously to this important cause for the people of Caversham. The donations in this phase are for purchasing the land and the costs associated with purchasing the land.
