Supporting Survivors - New Fundraising Update 2026
We asked our members what they need, and they responded!
Your donation will help us fund an internal grant to financially support our members who are seeking mental health services. Our members found that mental health services are often too costly despite how important it can be for healing. While this is a big goal for a small non-profit organization, we hope to remove this financial barrier for our MSL survivors through this new initiative.
We are looking to fund an Executive Director to help us with our fundraising, outreach, and advocacy.
We continue to do research on murder-suicide data, prevention, and best practices for supporting survivors. These scientific ventures are sustained by our Scientific Advisory Board. Funding could help us further our research and help mental health professionals get trainings to better serve all survivors.
Who Murder-Suicide Loss Network Is
Losing a loved one to murder-suicide or an attempted murder-suicide is a devastating experience. These tragic events leave survivors with overwhelming grief, trauma, and unanswered questions.
At Murder-Suicide Loss Network we are dedicated to supporting those affected by these tragedies through our own lived experience as fellow survivors. We understand survivors because we are their peers.
What We Do
We offer free resources and referrals to survivors of MSL, including our 100% free virtual weekly support meetings. We welcome all MSL survivors and aim to create an emotionally safe place for all MSL survivors, regardless of their relationship to the victim(s), perpetrator, or both.
As a part of our outreach and advocacy work, we also welcome the involvement of supporters and advocates. We mail print resources to victim advocates, first responders, funeral homes, and others so they know how to help survivors in the aftermath of an MSL event and know where they can send survivors to get support.
How You Can Help
Every donation helps us fund an internal mental health services grant, funding for an experienced ED, and supporting our research. If you would instead like to make a donation through ordering MSLN merchandise, you may consider purchasing from our Bonfire campaign instead.
Every Contribution Counts
If you are unable to donate or make a purchase at this time, we also ask that you consider visiting our website to sign up for our mailing list. Survivors and supporters who sign up for our mailing list will receive a free sticker as a small "thank you" for signing up.
Regardless of your contribution, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking a stand with us in providing hope, resources, and healing to those left behind. Together, we can truly make a difference!
